Occupation, Identity, and Law: A Dialogue on Oppression and the Struggle for Justice

Join us for an evening of reflection and dialogue on oppression, identity, and justice!
Across borders and beyond headlines, civilians continue to face violence, occupation, and erasure. Our event will explore how disinformation and propaganda have become central tools to legitimize war crimes, control narratives and dehumanize Palestinians, and how international law and mechanisms of accountability for war crimes can confront ongoing human rights violations in Palestine.
Join us for a candid conversation with Nadim Nashif (Executive Director of 7amleh), Professor Alette Smeulers (University of Groningen) and Professor Helen Duffy (University of Leiden), and networking drinks on the 28th of November!
Location: The Hague Humanity Hub
Date & Time: November 28th, 17:00-19:00
️ Format: Fireside conversation + Q&A+ networking drinks
Language: English
Registration required.
