This submission, originally prepared by The London Story (now Diaspora in Action for Human Rights and Democracy – DAHRD), analyses how Hindu nationalist extremism—known as Hindutva—poses systemic risks to civic discourse, elections, and public safety across the European Union. Drawing on extensive monitoring and data-driven research, the report identifies how Very Large Online Platforms (VLOPs) have facilitated the spread of transnational hate speech, disinformation, and politically motivated advertising. It calls for stronger enforcement of the Digital Services Act to ensure transparency, accountability, and protection for diaspora and minority communities across Europe.
