Our latest submission to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) exposes India’s deepening gendered inequality, from communal and online violence to forced evictions and the militarisation of women’s lives in Assam, Bastar and Manipur.
We call on the Committee to urge India to repeal discriminatory “love jihad” laws, amend AFSPA, end hijab bans, and ensure justice for survivors of sexual and communal violence.
